Editorial & Calculation Safety Policy
Calcady operates under disciplined editorial and mathematical standards. Because calculation tools in trades, finance, and health inform practical planning and decisions, educational content and underlying formulas must adhere to technical truthfulness, clear attribution, and responsible disclosure.
1. The Anti-Hallucination Charter
Automated content generators and casual references frequently extrapolate or fabricate mathematical formulas, standard edition years, and code sections. At Calcady, our policy is strict:
If an authoritative reference or standard edition is unverified or unavailable, the assumption must be clearly stated or left unasserted. Calcady is an independently developed, solo-operated computational project: we never supply fictitious attribution, invent professional reviewers, or exaggerate the scope of verification.
2. Authoritative Citation Hierarchy
When authoring technical content and implementing domain formulas, we prioritize sources according to an objective hierarchy:
- Primary Statutory Codes: Adopted model codes and statutory regulations (e.g., NFPA 70 / NEC, ICC IPC/IBC/IRC, OSHA 29 CFR 1926, and federal statutory guidelines).
- Consensus Engineering Standards: Standard technical publications from recognized standards development bodies (e.g., ASME, AWS, ASHRAE, ASTM, IEEE, AISC, AWWA).
- Published Academic & Scientific Literature: Peer-reviewed scientific publications, university textbooks, and established clinical guidelines.
- Classical Mathematical & Physical Foundations: Universal principles of geometry, algebra, and physics (e.g., Ohm's law, Darcy-Weisbach / Hazen-Williams equations, classical mechanics).
3. Preserving Calculation Logic During Content Updates
To protect mathematical integrity across our tools:
Under no circumstances may mathematical formulas, numerical constants, unit conversion multipliers, input validation boundaries, or algorithm logic in calculation files be altered during SEO, metadata, layout, styling, or documentation modifications.
Existing calculator engines are presumed functionally correct unless demonstrable mathematical error, code violation, or definitive test failure against primary references proves otherwise. Calculation algorithms are never rewritten on subjective or cosmetic grounds.
4. Truthful Modification Dates
Page modification dates and sitemap timestamps represent genuine, substantive content or algorithm reviews. Calcady never injects dynamic request dates or build timestamps (new Date()) into search engine schemas or visible text merely to manufacture artificial freshness.
5. Correction & Feedback Handling
We welcome user feedback and corrections. If you notice an error in an equation, an outdated code edition, or an ambiguous parameter:
- Submit details via our Contact Page or via email to
info@calcady.com. - Include the relevant tool URL, the specific equation or input set, and the authoritative primary source reference (e.g., standard code section or published literature).
- Verified corrections are incorporated into the calculator engine, reinforced with automated tests where applicable, and logged on our public Calculator Change Log.
